Overview
Experience making traditional Japanese sweets with our instructor Chika Ogasawara. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to make and take home Japanese sweets in the shape of Sendai and Miyagi’s sightseeing mascot, "Musubimaru", and other designs iconic to Sendai, Miyagi and the Tohoku region. Let’s try making decorative Japanese sweets in cute and colorful designs!
*Note that if the minimum number of participants is not met the event will be cancelled and money refunded
*The event may be cancelled due to changes in regulations regarding the spread of COVID-19. In the case of cancellation, the participation fee will be refunded in full.
*If you wish to make a cancellation, please contact us at 080-2815-8321 or support@i-sendai.jp at least 48 hours before the workshop. No refunds will be given for no-shows or for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the workshop.

11:30–11:35 / 13:30–13:35 Instructor’s greeting and self-introduction
11:35–12:50 / 13:35–14:50 Decorative Japanese dessert making (One with Musubimaru mascot design and one with Sendai/Miyagi-style design)
12:50–13:00 / 14:50–15:00 Commemorative group photo opportunity and fill out feedback forms
13:00 / 15:00 Farewell and finish *The afternoon session is the same as the morning one.

We kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding in adhering to the following requests. Please check them before attending the event.
Before the event
Please refrain from participating in the event if any of the following apply:
If you are physical feeling unwell (e.g., if you have a fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, cough, sore throat, headache, etc.)
If you have traveled to any country considered to be an “infectious endemic country,” or an area considered to be a “domestic infectious endemic area” (e.g., where there has been a cluster, etc.) within 14 days prior to the event.
If you have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event.
On the day of the event

Be sure to measure your temperature at home, and refrain from participating if you have a body temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, or if you generally feel unwell.
When moving around the venue, please observe social distancing and take appropriate infection prevention measures.
Doors and windows will be opened for ventilation inside the venue, so please wear clothes that will easily allow you to adjust according to the room temperature.

Please cooperate in wearing a mask, disinfecting hands, proper cough etiquette, etc.
The staff will measure your temperature on arrival. Please note that you will not be allowed to participate if you have a body temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher.
